…at the WYPC
Hey People…
We are so excited that you’re checking out our Performance Project. Here’s everything you need to know:
Our Aim
To create a safe, inclusive, and fun space where you can make friends and try out new skills in acting, music, spoken word and movement.
Who is the Performance Project for?
YOU!!!! – as long as you’re between the ages of 14 and 19.
No experience is necessary.
Whether you’re new to drama or a seasoned theatre lovey, you won’t be disappointed – we’ve got some top experts coming!
What happens?
3:45 – doors open – you can grab a free snack at the café, hang, play pool.
4:30 – we play a couple of fun theatre games to get to know each other. Followed by a fab workshop in some aspect of performance.
Check out our schedule below for each week’s workshop theme.
Can I just come to one or two workshops?
Yes! Drop into any of our workshops – or come to them all – you’ll always be welcome.
Do I need to register?
Nope. You don’t need to sign up – just rock up! Don’t be shy – we’re very nice.
There’s a form to fill in when you get here.
Where is it happening?
Wolvercote Young People’s Club St Peter’s Road, Wolvercote, OX2 8AU
Anything Else I need to know?
YES! We are committed to making everyone feel safe and welcome.
So… remember to respect and encourage everyone as individuals regardless of ability, appearance, gender, religion, weird flares, etc.
And of course – zero tolerance for alcohol, drugs, and dangerous things. (But you can hold hands … and singing, even badly, is encouraged.)
